Chief Executive Officer: Kazang

Martin began his IT career in the early 1980s, working for large blue chips such as Old Mutual and Barclays Bank. With experience in both Europe and the US, he co-founded Emerald Solutions, which specialised in developing large-scale internet applications for companies such as Nike, Intel and AT&T. As the CEO at Emerald, Martin raised approximately $40 million in venture capital funding. When he returned to South Africa in 2001, Martin was involved in a number of technology businesses before becoming CEO of Psitek, the founding company of Kazang. Martin is the CEO of Kazang, which was acquired by Paycorp in 2014.


Chief Financial Officer: Kazang

Julian was appointed CFO for the Kazang Group in January 2012 where he is responsible for all administrative, legal and accounting matters. Prior to this, he had spent a decade in various financial roles at Psitek, joining as financial manager and becoming group financial manager when Saicom Group bought Psitek’s prepaid vending division. Previous experience includes heading up the South African group accounting for a German refrigeration company.



Head of IT and Product Development

Grant leads the team of software engineers, web developers and system administrators that develop and maintain Kazang ContentReady, Kazang Prepaid and Saicom Payphones. As chief designer at Psitek, Grant was instrumental in designing and building the fleet of payment and communications services, and hardware. He developed ContentReady independently after a management buy-out from Psitek, then rejoined the Kazang fold after the merger.



Operations Manager

Francois looks after all Operations and Support functions for Kazang locally and internationally. He started his career at Telkom as a Trainee Technician in 1982 and after qualifying, spent many years managing service delivery and support functions for Telkom, Siemens and Psitek in the Telecommunications industry.

Chief Operating Officer: Paycorp

Stephen holds a B Acc. CA (SA) and joined Paycorp as CFO in March 2008. Having worked in both listed and unlisted groups including Metro Cash and Carry, W&A/FSI Group, Forza/CMH Group and CMH Marine and Leisure, Stephen has worked at a senior management level in the retail, distribution and services industries. Through various roles including Group Financial Director, Commercial Director and Managing Director, Stephen has extensive experience in all financial, operational and corporate aspects of business.



Chief Executive Officer: ATM Solutions & EFTPOS

With a BCom (Cum Laude) and a BAcc from Wits University, Wayne qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 after serving his articles at Arthur Andersen. Following this, he worked on mergers, acquisitions and in corporate finance within the investment banking division of Gensec Bank, all while completing his CFA. Wayne joined ATM Solutions in February 2003 as Chief Financial Officer and took on his current role of Chief Executive Officer in January 2007. He is also Chief Executive Officer of EFTPOS



Chief Financial Officer: Paycorp

Gert is a Chartered Accountant with a BCom degree (Accounting) and BCom (Honours in Accounting) from RAU. After completing his articles at PWC, Gert worked as an Internal Auditor at JCI and SABC before becoming the Manager of Actuarial Information at Momentum Life. Following this, he was appointed as Chief Operating & Chief Executive Officer of RMB Unit Trusts & RMB Investment Services. In 2001, Gert was appointed as Chief Operating & Chief Financial Officer of RMB Asset Management before moving on to become a shareholder and executive director of the Riskscape Group. He joined Paycorp as Chief Financial Officer in January 2014.
