Financial Analyst

A vacancy exists for a Financial Analyst within the VAS and Card division, Kazang, in Cape Town

As the Financial Analyst, you will be a key functional member of the finance team assisting in financial forecasting, modelling and annual budgeting processes. You will be instrumental in helping to drive the decision-making for Kazang and act as the analytical engine of our finance team to provide insights, high-quality reporting and support business decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Modelling Commercial agreements down to a granular level.
  • Strategy support and tracking.
  • Strategy into measurable goals and objectives.
  • Lead divisional annual budgeting and planning process, monitor progress, and update forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on divisional financial and operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and bottom-line improvements.
  • Drive performance by actively seeking opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.
  • Deep dive available data to bring new insights to management and put these insights into action.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor reports to measure performance.
  • Ensure accuracy of dashboards and reporting.

In order to be considered for this position, the following requirements must be met:

  • Postgraduate accounting/finance degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Advanced System expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • 2-4 years of experience in the same or similar field.
  • Solid accounting skills and experience.
  • Industry experience: ideally in Fintech.
