A vacancy exists for a Senior Graphic Designer within the VAS and Card division, Kazang & EasyPay, in Cape Town.
At Kazang and EasyPay, we see graphic design as visual storytelling that engages, informs, and inspires. We are looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual designs, in both print and digital. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from conceptual to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take briefs and ideas and convert them into a design. The Senior Graphic Designer reports directly to the Head of Marketing The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Design visual concepts using appropriate tools, media, and/or technologies.
- Incorporate relevant branding, marketing, and communication strategies in designs.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop design concepts and strategies that support marketing initiatives.
- Develop creative and engaging content for various marketing channels and campaigns.
- Conceptualize and develop visual concepts that effectively communicate marketing messages and promote the company’s brand.
- Ensure all design work meets brand guidelines and quality standards – act as a brand custodian for all work that is in the studio.
- Work closely with other departments such as sales and product to ensure all design needs are met.
- Manage the creation of marketing material from concept and design to final artwork.
- Guiding/ mentoring junior designers.
- Drawing on experience/ technical expertise to assist in problem solving.
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design.
- Improve Kazang and EasyPay’s design processes to streamline delivery at a high quality.
- Help shape and evolve Kazang and EasyPay’s brand identity.
In order to be considered for the position, the following requirements must be met:
- A Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design.
- Highly skilled in Adobe CS or Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
- Strong execution ability for generating content.
- You have strong creative and conceptual skills.
- High level of attention to detail for quality assurance across all channels.
- You work well in a team environment and can provide support and guidance to internal or external designers based on your experience.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You can manage multiple projects and work well under pressure.
