A vacancy exists for a Barista and Bartender within the Micro Merchant Division, in Century City, Cape Town.
The Barista and Bartender will play an extremely important role in the company. You will provide our guests and staff with the thing they love – coffee! If you enjoy the art of coffee brewing and providing, high-quality coffee and crafting some exquisite espresso creations, Let’s talk over coffee!
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Barista:
- Preparing and serving coffee, tea and other hot beverages as requested.
- Serving beverages to visitors and meeting groups.
- Taking inventory of stock needed to fill coffee orders, reporting stock needs to Reception to be ordered on a weekly basis.
- Adhering to safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Cleaning work areas and counters, sanitising equipment and utensils.
- Keep the canteen area tidy, wipe and clean tables and chairs, and keep the canteen in presentable and clean condition overall.
- Run the canteen and coffee bar as part of a team, and assist with selling various food items.
Bartender:
- Occasional bartending duties at company events, during and after office hours.
In order to be considered for this position, the following requirements must be met:
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent with a Barista course qualification.
- Previous work experience as a Barista required, and knowledge of bartending.
- Good customer service experience.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Preferably have own reliable transport as there are occasional after-hour duties.
