A vacancy exists for a Business Intelligence Analyst within the Micro Merchant Division, in Century City, Cape Town.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data, generating insights, and providing actionable recommendations to support decision-making. This role involves gathering requirements, designing and developing reports and dashboards, and conducting data analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Business Intelligence Analyst
- Gather and analyse big data across our Lesaka brands with a primary focus on our International and Touchsides Business Units.
- Influence stakeholders to support business projects.
- Coordinate with different departmental teams to produce better business outcomes.
- Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents.
- Identify automation opportunities.
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualisations to understand business performance.
- Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools.
- Assist in developing and managing BI solutions.
- Analyse and document business requirements/documents.
- Assisting with the restructuring of the data architecture.
- Testing and supporting the BI solution.
- Assist with modelling the data by applying dimensional and star schema models.
- Technical workshops for other staff to upskill them in understanding power BI and data querying.
In order to be considered for this position, the following requirements must be met:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or Data Analyst, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proven experience in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, QlikView, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights. SQL skills, advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
